One of Europe's largest ski areas, with over 650 km of ski slopes, Les Portes du Soleil comprises 12 ski resorts linked between France and Switzerland: 8 French resorts, including Avoriaz, Morzine, Montriond, Les Gets , St Jean d'Aulps, Abondance, La Chapelle and Châtel, and 4 Swiss resorts: Champéry, Torgon, Morgins, les Crosets-Val d'Illiez-Champoussin.

Châtel is at the heart of the ski area, with direct access to Avoriaz from the Pré la Joux sector, and to Morgins and Torgon from the Super Châtel sector.
